The Bridal Party
The man who finds a wife finds a treasure, and he receives favor from the LORD. Proverbs 18:21-23
Maid of Honor
Thaedra is the beautiful sister of the bride and has always had my back! Thaedra has played the role of big sister very well in my life and she even gave me my middle name, “Janifer”. Thaedra is a very supportive sister who has been very instrumental in planning this wedding and I don’t know what I would do without her.
In addition to being an excellent sister, Thaedra is also the mother of Mr. Cameron Jones.
Matron of Honor
Janaka and I met when I was ten years old at a Continuing Education class at Augusta State University. Janaka and I went to the same middle school, high school, and graduate school, and we even played on the same recreational basketball team (the Augusta Heart Associates). Janaka has been a wonderful friend to me who I can count for patience, honesty, and optimism.
Janaka is also the mother of Mr. Justus Lewis, the Ring Bearer.
Stephanie and I became friends in the 6th grade and since then we have attended the same middle school, high, school, and college where we were roommates. We even worked together for a couple of years at UPS Supply Chain Solutions. Stephanie is a true friend who has always been there for me. Anyone who knows her knows that she is hilarious, outspoken, and intelligent.
Stephanie will be moving back to Atlanta soon so the adventures of Alfie and Stephanie will resume shortly.
Camille Grant is Sean’s little sister and she is super sweet! When Sean and I first began dating, she was very welcoming to me and made me feel accepted. Camille is super talented and has an amazing voice that that she graced us with at our engagement. Camille will be graduating from the University of Georgia in May and we are super excited for her!
Camille has plans of entering Veterinarian school in the Fall of 2012 and we are all thankful for the blessings that God has bestowed upon her.
Ta Ressa and I became friends in the sixth grade at DFA and we went to middle school, high school and college together. Ta Ressa and I attended summer engineering camps together (Stephanie was there too) and she later went on to finish Medical School. Ta Ressa has always been a friend that I can count on for a good laugh (or cry if necessary), and I think she is a loving and dependable friend.
Ta Ressa is currently in her residency at Walter Reed Memorial in Bethesda, MD.
Edwindra Crocker (b.k.a. Eddie) was born in Louisville, KY and went to graduate school with me at Northwestern. Eddie and I met while taking part in the MLT program and our friendship has continued through business school and beyond. Eddie is a very ambitious young lady with a heart of gold.
Eddie is currently working abroad in Switzerland but is making a special trip to the States to be a part of our big day. We are very thankful Eddie!
Ms. Christina Williams is my one and only niece and I love her dearly! I recently attended her induction into the Junior Beta Club and I am very proud of her!! Christina is an intelligent and determined young lady and I cannot wait to see what God has in store for her.
Christina is the daughter of Mr. Bruce Williams.
My brother Andrew has been a joy to my life since the day he was born. He is still the funniest person I know. He has a real talent for finding what is humorous in the world and relaying it back to you in a way that leaves you rolling on the floor. I am so proud of him. He is currently enrolled at my old college, Southern Polytechnic State University, and is studying Computer Science. He has been a constant motivation for me as I purpose to be a good example for him. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for him.
Ryan has been my best friend for a while now. I met Ryan almost 8 years ago. I had a big vision for changing the world through media and he had a passion for radio. We joined forces to create the Trackstarz Radio show and we haven’t looked back since. He is my accountability partner, my encouragement, and my friend.
If my brother is the funniest person I know then Ernest has to be number 2. He has such a natural ability to find the humour in any situation. Ernest has really been a resource of advice for me through many tough situations in life. His passion to be a Godly man gave me the courage to keep pushing forward and I will be glad to have him by my side on my wedding day.
Bruce is Alfie’s oldest brother and the first of her brothers that I met. You can imagine how nervous I was to meet the oldest brother of the lovely Alfie Williams! I was so pleasantly suprised to see how much Bruce embraced me and spoke well of me. That meant so much to me. He has always made me feel welcome and a part of the family.
The next brother in line in the Williams family is Roscoe Jr. It amazes me how talented Roscoe is. I had the pleasure of watching him play golf last thanksgiving and I was truly impressed. He has big time talent, and not just in one area. His joyful spirit was very obvious and I can see how important he is to the Williams family.
The youngest “older” brother in the Williams family is David Williams. David and I have a whole lot in common. He loves basketball, computers, inventing … All of my favorites. It was really good getting to know David over the past year. His love for his baby sister is very evident. Because I have the same love for my little sister Camille, I could tell that Alfie had true value that was worth protecting. When you meet him, he has such a presence that is hard to deny. I know God has amazing things coming his way.
Cameron is Alfie’s nephew. I met Cameron over the 2010 Christmas holiday and we became friends right away. He made me feel very welcome the day I first met the Williams family. He always has a big smile and is very eager to show you that he cares for you. He has such a big heart and I see how much he loves Alfie and how much Alfie loves him.
